I feel it hurts them and will be a waste of money, cause "you can't stop the signal mal".
To try and keep things off of other sites is like Trying to convince Al Gore Global worming is not real or trying to teach a Devout Catholic Evolution is real.
it won't work.

Hey Corey,
Thanks for taking the time to post this video response. Don't forget NBC will be showing a ton of the Olympics online. But in order not to "waste" their money they are making sure the only place you can see their content is on NBColympics.com. Even their partner site hulu.com (which shows NBC highlights) won't have permission to show the any Olympic content. NBC feels in order to make their money back for the games they need to make sure there is just one spot to see the Olympics: NBC stations (NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, Telemundo, USA and NBCOlympics.com).

Since this is the Olympics and NBC paid a ton of money for the rights to the last 5 and the next two Olympics, does that make it fair? Where does it stop? Many big name bands don't allow recording of concerts because they feel that someone who hears a bootleg copy of their tour while they are touring might not spend money on a ticket to see them play. Meanwhile, we've learned that hearing a bootleg copy might actually ENCOURAGE us to show up to a concert because of how much fun it sounds.

So while NBC may have an army of interns scouring the net requesting that sites take down NBC owned content, does that help or hurt NBC pushing the brand of the Olympics?
