Phoenix - Speed Camera Capitol!
I hate it! When did WE become the speeding problem city?!
The cameras in Scottsdale made history. But I could avoid Scottsdale (and I did).
They removed the Scottsdale cameras - GOOD. But, then they put them EVERY-FRICKEN-WHERE-ELSE!
I constantly have to tell myself to do the posted speed - if you can find that. With so much construction and roadwork, it is very difficult.
(of course some of that construction could be "putting up cameras"...)

Comment by Derek on January 14, 2009 at 5:30pm - I heard a radio broadcast that mentioned that the cameras were making a huge amount of money. But, they didn't say anything about safety -AT ALL. Isn't that what reducing speed is about? Safety?

- Oh, and I might add - those are the FIXED cameras. We still have mobile vans ALL over the city also. I found it funny that I passed a mobile van that was on-duty in-between two FIXED cameras! We want your money!

What I was referring to, was that the way that this "could" move forward, was that people might be able to search for info about any random person through taking a photograph in the street, they don't even have to be famous.
