MIX

I've been gone for a while from here, doing some offline stuff. Mainly I got put off by being Rick Rolled by another member. But I'm over it and here to stay.

I've got this poem. It's my life's work. It's online, and I've been trying to find ways to promote it. This is about as good a place as any to start. I know it's not fancy, it's not multimedia, but it's Web 2.0 delivery is subtle so I'll go with that. So check it out and leave a comment on the site if you wish.

Shitboy, I don't mind your spontaneous rhyme drop on my blog post. Seriously, I don't mind the occasionall dada (or even just irrelevant) burst of inspiration. I'm just curious why you chose to do it here.

i was shitboy late one night
sifting through the car-crash fights
they say the music's much too loud
teens and drunks all in a crowd
making noise and doing drugs
their heads are bald they must be thugs
i don't have an attitude
some lady right now called me rude
they're wearing black and smoking weed??!!!
how many S.W.A.T. teams do you need!?
distraught moms though, make me cry
troubled teen, no discipline
works
she said fuck you mom and punched her sister
and stole twenty dollars
and doesn't want to listen to anybody
damn

The style of EPIC FU is faced paced and visual so its no coincidence. I don't feel its sinister, just the way the video format works. But, ya never know...Steve & Zadi are pretty creative, they might be able to find a cool, visual way to feature written art.

Thanks for the reply. Rickrolling was never funny.

I've noticed lately that much of the highlighted art on Epic Fu is visual, and it's not often written mediums get a spot on the show. Is it coincidence, favoritism, it's easier to digest, or is it just more widely available or easier to spot? Or is there a more sinister undercurrent?

Thanks for coming back! I too got so annoyed with rickrolling, blah. Love your work, keep it up. Poetry needs a place online too, not just video.

We're a global band of kids/geeks/freaks who love art/tech/gaming/music/politics & life. Love the web. Live the FU.

LOL @ earwax. I have never been a big fan of Pioneer headphones. The last Pioneer headphones i purchased were the SE-NC70S and in about three months the right side died out and the battery life was crap. What I do like about pioneer is the sound q...

Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
