Sometimes i think "THAT'S SO ANNOYING"! Then i realized that the same annoying things kept happening again and again. So, just to prove all my teachers and unread self-help books right, i made a list.
Of Pet Peeves. Wanna hear them? Of course you do. here's what i got so far:

*I hate things that are pointless.

*When people move my stuff, but don't tell me. Then i look all over the house when i JUST KNOW i put my homework right there!! Then i feel stupid even though it wasn't my fault.

*When a good idea is ruined. Like how the IDEA of a movie is good, but when you see it, it's tragic insted of funny, or the plot is hard to follow and stupid.(This might be the deal with Hancock, don't know yet though)

*Viagra Commercials. Need i say more?

Anyone have any ones to add to that list?

About a week ago i turned on my radio at about 10:30 at night. Not my big radio, but my little, palm-sized on i had found, fully carged in front of a High school that i don't go to. Very weird, but i had kept the battery up by using my dad's cell phone charger. I had listened to my usual stations- classic rock, pop, Jazz(usually when i wake up and get dressed, almost always feeling like i was in a Cadillac commercial), and occasionally the rap/R&B station, which usually played all of flo rida, Chris brown and about 2 other rappers. So I was up @10 something just thinking, when i impusivly reach for the radio & start surfing(?) the channels(?) starting from the lowest possible number to the highest. I hit this station-88.1-and i hear... Poetry? WHaaaaa???... No that's rap, i think. It was a girl, just stating her struggle to a rythum, without the help(or lack thereof)of a techno, aggitatingly catchy beat to disract me from her words. Without a backround chant. Without Bad words just to create the sense that she's cool. It was just simply words flowing in a continuous flow of emotion building strength as she denied the segestion of stopping. It was like no other rap that i'd heard before. I could understand what she was saying and i saw that she actually had a point. This was just so damn raw. This was monumental for me, because it changed the entire way i thought about the whole genre. It turned out that the radio station broadcast from a local university. I listened to it, and other local radio stations and heard more and more bands i had never heard of, new sounds.
In all of this i have to ask myself, when did we stop listening to the radio? Iguess TV helped with that, but it hasn't gone away.

The radio has been a major development in my life, which shows that i don't really have one. Ehh... I don't really care about that much anymore.
See ya in a week with more bugbites(Camp! umm...Yay?)- AMD(real initials)

what you heard was called SLAM poetry.
I was first turned on to it by Saul Williams, thru his guest appearance on Blackalicious's "Blazing Arrow"

I had the privilege of attending a regional event at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor back in 2003, and I remember quite vividly having that same response to the genre's ability to not just communicate, but truly transmit emotion. congratulations.

Hmm. Check. Check. Check and check!

Yep, I hate the same things! Coke - why did they have to mess with it? Halloween. Use to be a nice night time occasion to collect candy. Now, it is the celebration of the Devil! (Good grief!)
