I'm trying to find a nugget of humor in the fact that's it's been over a month since we've had an episode. If my girlfriend told me it's been over a month since her last "episode", I'd be asking some serious questions. Can you see a nugget in there?
Realistically, I don't think we should get our hopes up about the greatness of the next episode. Zadi and Steve have given us nothing but the best they can, every time. As wonderful, insightful and fun as it is, how can we expect anything more than their best? So, to suggest this next episode will be better that all the others simply because of the excess amount of time they've taken to launch, is quixotic and delusional.
We're assuming that all this time is spent on the production of the episode, when Steve himself has stated it's all back end stuff so they don't end up begging for alms at the local religious depot or charging the few precious members for access to the "exclusive" content or end up with a Denial of Service because of bandwidth issues. (Lets hope they don't use Comcast.) Compared to other networks, this is a relatively small community, and my business sense tells me that only about 10% of Epic-Fu's users would actually pay for access to the site, which probably wouldn't be worth it.
My business sense: 90% of your business is from the top 10% of your customers. Cater to them and you're business will grow. Considering that Epic-Fu is making $0 directly from it's users, I think it's safe to say they have no one to cater to but the bottom 100% of it's customers. How do you grow with that kind of demographic?
