Not what I was planning for this year but I seem to have just landed myself on a major label due to a heap of remix work I have been doing. Good news is I am only doing remix work.
I have been trying to work this out in my head without sounding like a total hypocrite so here goes.
Dale's guide to operating in both the creative commons and closed going to hell in a hand basket IP world!
Own work = creative commons (I own it and they can have it!)
Erno has a lot of friends, making it impossible to cover all of them on episode. Instead, we'll meet one particular friend who has even moved to Finland because of him!

Hey... been ages since I've been on here. Hope that you're all doing well and enjoying the new batch of Epic Fu as much as I am. What's changed in my life since we last spoke? I've moved to a new city and am getting used to a different standard of living, which is most pleasant. I put another book out recently (Access No Areas) and am looking for an agent to help pitch any of my three novels. I visited my old musical partner recently for a day in the studio, almost four years after we'd split, t… Continue
Given the direction epicfu is going, I think it is worth bringing Oliver postgate to attention here. He was a maker of children's TV programs from the 50's to the 80's, and he sadly passed away in December 2008. He was a true pioneer in terms of film, animation, and storytelling.
What's prompting me to write this now, was that I witnessed a documentary on UK terrestrial TV Last night that is
Amongst other gaming geeks.
in the absence of Fu-related web interaction, these last few monhts I've become a regular participant and commenter on one of Revision3's newer acquisitions Bytejacker. It's Exacly the kind of show that's right up my street, I LOVE videogames, it features chiptunes as its regular soundtrack, and there are regular discussions and videocomments which usually end up in sheer geeky indulgence, And the guys behind i… Continue

Sod Boring manuals in both paper and PDF format. Think what you like about my attempt at making replacing a touchscreen fun.. but techrestore have owned this area with a capital "P", with awesome stop motion videos of unboxings and dissasemblies. Like, for example, this one of the more recent PSP Go.
I think this is great as it clearly and concisly shows how to take apart modern electro… Continue

I have been spending a lot of time on all sorts of sites recently scouting for new artists. What seems to be a consistent theme in all my travels though is just how scared artists are of creative commons. Its really bizarre. On one hand you have the Nine Inch Nails Saul Williams model that fans absolutely love and on the other the absolute pipe dream of landing on a major label and actually making money from it.
Its funny cause I see artists complaining about no one taking them seriously or get… Continue

Second episode of Trash Hour is here! This time I'll review two campy Capcom's games of Dreamcast that I consider as good examples of games that are indeed cheesy, but also fun to play!
Website is finally done! for now I'm sure I will change something again later. Good news is I just went back over every tool I have used from the server hosting the site to the graphics and coding tools has all been open source!
Debian for the server
Apache for the hosting
MySql for the database
Drupal for the CMS
Ubercart for the shopping cart
Gimp for the art and graphics work
Aquamacs Emacs for doing the CSS edits
Anyone who says you can't run your world in an entirely open source environme… Continue

Smith, 63, will be presented with the Founders Award during performing rights group ASCAP´s annual pop music awards dinner honoring the composers and publishers of the most-performed songs of 2009.
When I go out, I'm more often than not at other peoples houses and not really any sort of businesses. Plus the people I hang out with aren't nearly as techy as me so I'd be using it with no one. And I don't really need to play social games like this…
