the last thing I'd like to contribute to this discussion, for now anyway, is a testimony to the personal effectiveness of "The Great FUnetics Experiment!" not sure what the plan was there, or where it was going, but it was definitely the most excit…

it doesn't get more global than the playing for change "stand by me" video. if we could emulate that, epicfu style, we could achieve a truly transcendent globally collaborative internet experience. MIX is definitely well on it's way to achieving thi…

Elf Power, Those Poor Bastards, Old and In the Way, Afroman, MC Frontalot, Deltron 3030, Kid Koala, Eric Bogle, Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Ethan Daniel Davidson
Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Hank William (Sr.), Blackalicious, Lucero, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Neko Case, The Wilders (bluegrass and old-timey country/gospel) anything with a fiddle in it
El-P, Niggy Tardust, Beck, Architecture in Helsinki, Red Stick Ramblers, Pavement, Guided By Voices.
Favorite TV Shows:
The only thing I actually watch on TV itself, is Dollhouse, and I would encourage everyone else to do the same. Please. Thank you.

Now I download Doctor Who from BitTorrent the same day it comes out in the UK. This Christmas was the best Christmas EVER! It was my first Christmas spent with the Doctor, and we had out very own Christmas miracle. Spent the last four months waiting for Easter's "Planet of the Dead" special.

"Doctor Who, giving Christian holidays meaning again!"

Found out this morning about Warren Ellis writing "G.I. Joe: Resolute" for adultswim. My childhood has been validated.

EPIC FU!
I like the Daily Show and Colbert Report.... but mostly I stay FAR AWAY from TV these days... "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." though I am proud of my considerable digital media library, which consist mostly of cartoons acquired via bittorrent. I've got the entire run of Thundercats, Invader Zim, Hikaru No Go, Full Metal Alchemist, The Maxx. The Real Ghostbusters, Boondocks, etc. I'm a cartoon fiend. Oh! And Flight of the Concords!

Hey MIX! I got my ass kicked this weekend! (Pictures)

Saturday night, the most insane and ridiculous thing happened to me. It is no exaggeration to say that I could have been killed in what amounts to a random act of drunken aggression.

First, a couple pictures. Then, the facts.

FACT: I have a beautiful girlfriend that most guys instantly want to fuck.

Shelter from the Storm

here it comes, the storm, bearing down us now. we prepare for the worst, having lived through it once already such a short time ago. families are gathering above sea level and the concrete bunker that is my immediate family's home waits with it's doors open to receive our refugees. as the man of the household (which consists of myself, my mother, and my 15 yr old brother) I stand poised on the precipice of one of those times in life where we're provided the opportunity to step up and be defined… Continue

Paleo (it means "old")

I have a friend that I met through one of those ultra-serendipitous circumstances that you look back on years later [picture me, sitting at desk in middle of night, looking back] and see how one random moment or encounter has rippled through your life since...

anyway, the guy's name is David Strackany, but he performs as Paleo. I met him on my b… Continue

All that talk about Labyrinth in the forum inspired me to share some pics from an independent film I took part in back in April. It's got a sort of Labryinth theme, where a young girl wanders off and gets taken on a fantastic adventure by good-natured and concerned creatures... albeit strange ones. There's music and dancing as well. And I volunteered myself for one of the coolest haircuts in th… Continue

Saturday Morning Cartoons!

I just finished the poster flyer for my weekly Saturday Morning Cartoon show which I've begun hosting at the community theater here in McComb, MS. This took me a total of 6 hours, and I'm exhausted from pixel picking... but at least I managed to kill some time before the new episode. Any one in graphic design have any pointers? I'm just getting back into image editing after being without a computer or time for awhile. I use The Gimp on Ubuntu 8.04. This and my comic book character masthead are m… Continue

Kid Koala is pretty cool. I've never come across a koala toy with a squeaker toy though. But If I do I'll let you know...

Koalas are vicious little suckers that hiss and spit. They sound like wild pigs when they are mating. Really creepy. Trust me you dont want one. Not that you could get one through customs. How about a stuffed one for the tree? ;o)

Rock band? No idea what you are talking about. Yeah the Who are getting a workout on my Ipod lately. Thought I'd share with the masses.

It has been different here on MIX. But I guess thats what it will always be like. A constantly evolving entity. I like that we have 36 views to run and hide away in :o)

Great show. I love Extranormal. It's so easy to make robot movies without a video camera. FYI, I'll be interviewing Zadi at 2:30 Eastern on 9/2 on http://thepulsenetwork.com for http://stevegarfield.tv The show will be archived too.

Sorry, it seems like I'm digging this up, it's been awhile since I've been around. First, I wanted to apologize for being kinda rude earlier. I was being a little stubborn and didn't do my research either. Not to mention just being an idiot. Sorry!…
