Last night I went to the Art Gallery of South Australia for an amazing event called DepARTure. The program is made especially for people in their 20s and 30s to introduce them to art and culture in a creative and fun social setting. Personally I just get a kick out of being in the Art Gallery after hours and getting a chance to see a sneak peek of a new exhibition within the gallery. I'd be interested in seeing what you came up with for a masthead, based on your "about me" blurbs. I can empathize with every one, except "buying property" and maybe the finger smudges one... don't quite get that.

also, speaking of hokusai, right on! we have a couple of his prints as well (I'd have to check the names). My grandfather retired from Exxon, and a visiting Japanese executive gifted them to him decades ago. My mom had them appraised [for hundreds, not thousands :( ], at an art dealer in New Orleans. They were actually down there during Hurricane Katrina, so they've got that story to tell as well. Every wonder why, out of the 36 views of Mt. Fuji, that one (the wave) has stuck in popular consciousness? Me either until now. Which forum should we start that discussion in?

(and I thought LVS stood for "loves")
