A Little Bit About Me:: I'm currently in California counting down the last few months of my enlistment in the U.S. Marine Corps. I've been to Iraq twice. I wrote a novel loosely based on some of my experiences there with a whole lot more thrown in to exemplify many of the things I learned from the people. Alright, after an intense 9 day road trip that started in San Diego, through Phoenix, into a small oil town called Fort Stockton in West Texas, then deep into the heart of South Texas in my friends hometown of San Benito, through Atoka Oklahoma and into St. Louis, I finally made it back to Chicago. SORRY!

I've totally flaked out on Mix. The Marines had me held up for such a long time, but I'm out now! I got out on Monday and right now I'm in San Benito, Texas visiting a friend I haven't seen in a long time. I would have been up on Mix a lot in the recent past, but there were no wireless signals for me to steal. I just got back from being in Melbourne for the weekend. Explored the Yarra Valley wine region yesterday (hate to say it but the wine is mediocre Barossa Valley kicks its butt) and have learnt the mysterious arts of beer on a beer appreciation course. I never knew that Dark Ales could be so tasty :o) I've been waiting for the next installment of music festivals and they are about to begin. I've somehow scored myself a job working at the Parklife Festival next month. I've always wanted to be able to go backstage at a festival. Being that I have no journalistic or groupie tendencies I've had to volunteer as a roadie :o) Hilarious.
