Wow. Iceland is beautiful.

Yes well when I head to America I want to check out a nice mix of cultural and natural elements. God knows where I will start/finish... I do tend to want to stray into the art world so New York for sure. I guess as a foreigner you hear a lot about the Southwest, those gorgeous massive lakes and the protected parks etc. Personally as much fun as nature is I love to be amongst it. Its people that make my trips memorable :o)

I have to ask... why Iceland? I'm in the process of saving money to go to America next year actually. Anywhere you suggest I check out (or avoid). Hopefully the exchange rate stays the same :o)

I was at d'Arenberg Winery for the McLaren Vale Sea & Vines Festival a month ago. Great place. You sound like you are traveller. Have any future plans to go overseas?

Hello there Jim. You look like you had a ball when you were in Oz. How gorgeous is Kangaroo Island? I've been there quite a few times and there is always something new to see. So peaceful. Other than the gorgeous remote sandy beaches, the remarkable rocks would have to be a personal favourite. Did you get a chance when you were in Adelaide to check out the McLaren Vale or Barossa Wine Regions? LVS

My profile picture was actually taken in NY, I was on a 4 wheeler. I should probably get a bike though, it's such a popular thing to do here. Neat photo of the border. :)

Out Your Backdoor

Bike Canoe Trailer: It's a Cinch!

December 31, 1969 - I've long wanted to create a simple trailer for towing a canoe behind a bike. A lot of times when I'm biking and I come across some tasty water I suddenly want to get paddling---especially when the waterway is going my way or when it's a shorter way to go my way. To me, the two joys fit together--the glide of a bike and t...

Team OYB Road Trip: Cali or Bust!

December 31, 1969 - Adventure is our middle name. Our family is driving to California on June 7 for a 3-week road trip! We'll visit my uncles in Hollywood and Reno plus friends in the Bay Area. And we'll see the sights along the way. We're not driving on freeways. (Exhausting! Numbing!) We'll search for nifty small town action hither...

"Bicycle Times": Issue #2 Good for Everyday Riders

December 31, 1969 - Issue #2 of "Bicycle Times" just came in. It's a new project that's geared to everyday riding, courtesy of the folks at "Dirt Rag." "BT" is about errands, commuting, family action and just plain fun. Nothing too nichified or specialized or intense or high end. Just ride! This here blurb has to be dualistic as their website...

Mondo Enduro: Wacky Brits on Small Motos

December 31, 1969 - What a find! Here's a bunch of UK pals who explored the world on small enduro motorcycles. They also wandered over to the USA and hitched around the whole of the land during one summer vacation, filming each ride that picked them up (124 of them) on their mini Hi-8 cam. These trips are unique in several ways, a coupl...
