You shouldn't have to buy the full CS4 package ($1700US) just to get Premiere Pro, I hope. Not sure how it's packaged where you are, but over here we can buy just the individual application. http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/

thanks Steve :) I'm not too sure about applying XML, (what's needed for picture and video overlay), that would require a bit more swotting up methinks, And I couldn't spot the speed up effects when I looked them up on the version I had. I think ...

GPS, social networking, and Privacy.

I've been meaning to write something along these lines for a while now, but something spurred me to do it just now, what that Is I'll reveal later.

I've been noticing over the course of the last year that there have been a quite a few Apps coming out that allow you to share your Location (GPS co-ordinates - town ETC) sometimes even in Realtime. I'd be hard pressed to remember what they are by name, what they look like, or even what platform they're on. I vaguely remember one where it tweeted th… Continue

2001, a space oddysey/earache

This is an attempt at "Also sprach Zarathustra" By the "Pourtsmouth sinfonia", who had an odd requirement. to be Part of it you had to " be either non-musicians, or if a musician, play an instrument that was entirely new to them"

it started a goof in 1970 but gathered a cult following and continued to gather and perform till 1979, even playing the Royal Albert hall in London in 1974.

I think this… Continue

B3ta.com

Despite growing up, and becoming quite tech & Web savvy, in the UK. I hardly ever ventured to what I now realise is a British web "institution" (although many would argue its a similar institution to the one mentioned in a famous Marx brothers joke about Marriage :P ), I'm talking about B3ta.com.

I've have referenced them here before (more than… Continue

Back from the orient. now WHERE'S MY TECH!?!?

After Spending an entire month onboard a floating structure in the Middle of the gulf of Thailand, I'm now back in my new home of Jockland's capital, Bank account re-plenished, Jet lag slept off, RSS-reactivated and Re-indulged in technolust in a similar way to a cold turkey addict dragging himself back to his secret stash. Out there there was only one solitary net connected computer on the rig for us service crew members, and it was slower than a slug race across a salty surface. I couldn't get… Continue

orient beckons again!!

Like this time last year, I'm going out to work in Thailand for another month. I've not been around much on mix lately. Thanks in part to a move to Edinburgh and the fringe festival taking part during August. it has been a very crazy & fun time.

Again, whilst out in the orient I don't know what I'll be getting in terms of internet access. So In case you don't hear from me for a while, I'll be back in action… Continue
