MIX

As the title suggests, I can't find any official way for us Mixers to formally put forward artists and musicians to the Epicfu crew for inclusion. so I thought a thread discussion could be started for this purpose.

I'd like to start things off with a Crazy swedish trio Consisting of Marcass (aka satan behind the synthesizer ), Jonass, And Drumass, AKA "quit your dayjob" ( official site & myspace

most of their songs are short, sweet, aggressive, and catchy, and they don't put too much thought into their lyrics, ( "coconut" and "P!ssing on a panda" for example)

And they're videos, are quite cheap, but they will often give you a smile. :) Like their latest effort, "beat the boss".

I'll also give you "bodypoppers":

And "coconut"... (Warning, they used edited bullfight footage, not for the squeemish)

I also want to offer up a (now sadly defunct) British band called Straw, at the time of writing I'm going through my minidisc collection. Making a list on what to digitally aquire before "moving on" my players and collection for good. and I found one of their latter songs on there.

I was lucky to be at one of their last gigs when they performed in Aberdeen. just before they were due to release their second album "keepsakes". However it was at that same gig i attended That they were on the same bill as a local "rage against the machine" covers band. and more people at the gig were there to see them than straw. ( not taking anything away from the original rage , but Aberdeen is not known for it's citizens being clued up in any way about good original music.) It was almost immediately after this gig that they decided to call it a day, and thus the second album never got released. All this was around 1999 when British guitar bands where losing popularity quickly.

Highly critically acclaimed but hugely ignored in terms of sales. they called it quits shortly before the net took off. From their stuff I give you...

"watching you sleep" (from the never released second album)

then from their first album "shoplifting" comes "soundtrack of the summer" :

and "wierd superman":

And this is not any kind of official video but this is one of my faves from "shoplifting" ... "moving to california" :

The last remaning online location seems to be this site :(

Thought I'd continue the British theme you had going there. considering you had a good straight run these last few episodes (DJ format, Hadouken, and the black ghosts) :P Feel free to pass on your thoughts and suggest any other bands that you like to see featured

I Think London electronica duo Autokratz (myspace) would be worth featuring, Like the song and video for "Always more"...

I mentioned La roux Before, but Her latest Effort "Bulletproof" brings back a lot multi-colored "max hadroom"- 80's style nostalgia, possibly with a hint of 8-bit. :)

Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
