Yo yo yo yo, wazz up people!!! Okay back to the topic at hand. I just started teaching my self how to play the guitar about 4 months ago. Now I don't expect to get good over night, 2 years of skateboarding has taught me that already. I can't really afford a guitar teacher so I surf the web and learned how to read tabs. H don't know any chords however, I do know how to read chord charts. Also, I don't have a really good guitar because I’m not that good. I own a first act guitar. So basically I want to know how I can improve my guitar skills better. I also want to know things like what are the best guitars. My friends told me that Fender is the best for electric guitars. I know how to play some songs from reading tabs like Three Days Grace, "Never to Late", and Four Words (to choke up on) by Bullet for My Valentine. So to make a long story short I need a very in depth answer/guide for things like picks, amps, and lessons, etc. so that all of us beginners can get better. ;)

Yes, Fender is a very good brand for electric guitars, Peevey (spell check..? might be Pevey) amps are pretty good, you can go onto 911tabs.com if you need music tabs. For Picks, id say get a medium, not a heavy, MAYBE a light but, if you get a heavy and being new to guitar playing, you might have the same problem i did with picking too hard (hence why you get a thinner pick, it wont pull your strings as hard) Im still learning guitar, ive been in the 'advanced phase' for a while, but learning never ends, you always learn something new everyday. I'm not much of a teacher, but if theres anyway i think i can help you I'll let you know

Yo kid thanks for the advice. I've always herd that medium to hard picks are great because they stop the habit of picking the strings hard, and I also herd from a friend of mine who is like a professional drummer/beginner guitar player, he say fender amps are pretty good.

i prefer playing with a 1.5mm pick...i played with a 3.0mm pick for quite some time but i just didn't like it, it was just too thick!! since your starting out playing..picking will initially seem a little difficult with a stiff pick but give it time!! but even if you just want to play cover tunes..practice with a metronome!! it really helps with your playing and greatly reduces your learning curve!!

LOL @ earwax. I have never been a big fan of Pioneer headphones. The last Pioneer headphones i purchased were the SE-NC70S and in about three months the right side died out and the battery life was crap. What I do like about pioneer is the sound q...

Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
