Remi Thornton's night photography collection Stills is almost the epitome of proper creepy; otherwise completely normal, harmless and wholesome places that look eerily hostile in the dark. Everything from Ferris Wheels to lifeguard towers to barns and road signs end up looking like scenes from horror movies and you're just waiting for a dark shadow to sneak into frame, stab somebody and scream, "I'm going to gorge on your soul!". Or something like that.

Thornton says "What I'm capturing is not complex, and not completely conceptual; it's pure, simple and eerily beautiful." After studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, Thornton has gone on to have exhibitions (both solo and group) and has other collections of images that are equally ominous and quiet.

Very interesting photographs. Lighting definitely makes or breaks creepy places. Oddly, some of the creepiest places I've spent time in are places that ordinarily aren't scary at all. But come nighttime, when I'm alone and the lights stop working, I get a little paranoid.

And if that wasn't enough, there's times where I spent the night in one of the offices I worked in (it was a nice place away from home and I was doing freelance work and game playing there in exchange for tech support). The office also held a beeper repair shop, so going to sleep at night (alone in a dark bank building on the floor with no security cameras), I would be serenaded by the sounds of intermittent beeping. The only thing creepier was attempting to go down the back stairwell which was brightly lit in only one or two places and had that feeling like you were being watched as you descended. the mind can be creepy a lot of the time. [/Reminiscing]

These photos kind of remind me of a few places I've walked past at night. I usually sped up a little bit.

Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
