At every flea market, there's always that one stall that's riddled with piles of crusty old books still sporting the dust from 1982 or some other forgotten time. It usually sits somewhere between the Chinese electronics stall (with that buggy that drives into walls and flips over, parading in a box out the front), the useless leather goods store (where you can purchase your own personalised name buckle, as long as your not too fussed about the correct spelling) and the ugg boot or native wildlife watercolor illustration stall. I often skim over the illustration on the covers and pay my respects to what is now a bit of a lost art.
I have the feeling photographer Thomas Allen may have spent a fair bit of time at flea markets before his Pulp Fiction exhibition in 2006. The series featured photographs of scenes created by cutting out and breathing life into the illustrations in vintage novels. The end result is something truly unique. Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
