in light of this.... REV3 Axed several shows (fu included) in order to better position itself for what it thought was impending Economic armageddon causing sponsors and advertisers to cut costs .

Diggnation's Alex Albrect seemed somewhat taken aback by how well they were still doing at this year's SXSW when Daisy Whitney had a word.

Whereas now, they seem to be getting very cocksure again. Since the layoffs they have bought back pixel perfect, and taken on 3 other shows in the form of JV's world (not looked into him much but from what I've seen of the first episode he resembles a Bronx-born Black Charlie Brooker ), Rofl, And Videogame review and discussion show CO-OP

Could they stand to do well from this? Or are they setting themselves up for a big fall? would it be worth them resurrecting more stuff that they axed? maybe even the Fu perhaps? (he asks playing devil's advocate)

I'd be over the moon if they bought back Internet superstar in its original form before they axed Gator :D but that's my particular wish list :P

Rev3 Made a business decision IMO as a caution to what could've come. But being in a non-cyclical emerging industry it actually went better than they thought so they did a good planning and brought back pixel perfect and started to add new shows to their card.

I think that their advantage is that they have a lower production cost than a traditional media company so they can have ventures. But they are not setting up for a big fail, because even if the new shows fail, they can still work with the flagship shows: Diggnation, TRS and Tekzilla ....

Now as far as the FU coming back to rev3 I have no idea on that matter and I'll be happy to watch the FU wherever it is.

So I think REV3 is correcting it's overall direction in to positioning as a leader in content in different niches and I see no fail as costs seem to be lower than the profits generated right now, specially for diggnation.

Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
