Political discussion - heads up.
- Gov. Rod Blagojevich in trouble for "attempting" to selling senate seat
- Blagojevich selects Roland Burris
- Roland Burris is qualified to be senator, and wants the job
- Burris is not accepted due to the tainted selection
Should he get the job? Should the seat remain vacant? Should a judge appoint the senator?
Very interesting - at least from a WWF prospective.
At first, the dems said they would turn down any choice Blago made, nomatter what, that was the first mistake. Now they are backing down from their word, and saying they will investigate his choice. I think what they are doing now is the smartest way to go about this situation.
Personally, i don't like Burris, he's making a show out of this when he needs to just keep quiet. The dems are trying to help him, they are bending their own rules to get him in, but burris, with his verry own monument(yea, he had one built, listing all of his major accomplishments, and he's not even dead yet)...he's going up to the senate like he owns the place, demanding that they let him participate when it's been made obvious this is all under investigation. He needs to lay low and let this play out in his favor.
He seems qualified for the job, but based on character, i can't stand him, he's a steriotypical politician, with twice the ego.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Illinois House voted overwhelmingly Friday to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich, an unprecedented action that sets up a Senate trial on whether he should be thrown out for abuse of power, including allegations that he tried to sell President-elect Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat.
Impeachment required just 60 votes. The final result was 114-1.
"It's our duty to clean up the mess and stop the freak show that's become Illinois government," said Rep. Jack D. Franks, a Democrat.
In my best baseball umpire voice - fist thrusted in the air:
"HE IS OUT OF HERE!"
59-0 vote to impeach, followed by a similiar quick vote to oust from politics all together.
Goodbye and good ridden.

On Thursday, he (governor) addressed his Senate impeachment trial and offered familiar lines: He was innocent. The trial rules were unfair. His goal always was to help people.
But senators were unswayed.
"He failed the test of character. He is beneath the dignity of the state of Illinois. He is no longer worthy to be our governor," said Sen. Matt Murphy, a Republican from suburban Chicago.
LOL @ earwax. I have never been a big fan of Pioneer headphones. The last Pioneer headphones i purchased were the SE-NC70S and in about three months the right side died out and the battery life was crap. What I do like about pioneer is the sound q...
Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
lol dear Mr. Wolf, I've gone down this road before. I can't handle the uncertainty and mind boggle. Have you seen the movie "The Believer"? If so, remember the end? The dude keeps climbing the stairs, again and again, each time facing the same man...
Thank you for the reply.
Right now I am working on some clips for youtube and other online media. I am thinking about putting our prime minster (Meles Zenawi) who ordered the 194 students shot dead on May 15,2005 right alongside Sadam Husseine.

OneWingedFly, I'm deeply sorry to hear of your homeland's current situation. I had no idea about any of this. :(
One thing that I would note is that you can't MAKE people care, necessarily. People have to make up their own opinions and beliefs in...
Inspiring speech is inspiring?
Anyways, this question is much like the famous "If a tree falls in the middle of the forest and nobody's around to hear it, does it make a sound?" Just by the nature of the question, it's impossible to prove either w...
