What must you do, change, see, or experience in 2009? New Years resolutions can seem corny or irrelevant, but if you treat it like any other goal -- keep it small and attainable -- you could be looking back a year from now and feeling pretty damn good about what you said you were going to do.

My New Years resolution is to get in really good shape in 2009, re-open a gym membership, and start taking my fitness seriously. Another one I have is to work in television at some point in the year to progress my career and experience new challenges in a bigger media environment (not saying EPIC FU is going to tv, just saying I want to work in television somehow).

What are your resolutions, and how did you do with the ones you made last year?

My New Year's resolution is to stop spending so much money on fast food. I would have saved up roughly around $1,500 so I hope to change that!

My new years resolutions is too start getting in shape, I seriously have not ran a single mile this year. (though my ridiculously fast metabolism has kept me skinny), I want to get some muscle!

Also, I would make great strides in my current career path which is in Dentistry.

Last year, I didn't do ANY of my resolutions, I hope to change that this time around.

My NY Resolution is a two parter, first part is relatively simple to complete, the second... not so much.

1) Finish my HSC.
2) Get into the Bachelor of Arts Television/Bachelor of Arts Multimedia corse at Charles Stuart University (=O).

Aka, i have a long way to go to reach my goals this year.

My New Year's resolution is to not stick to a resolution. Whoa...paradox, dude. No, but seriously, I want to start a web comic or get on-track to starting a webtoon. My brother and I have been talking about it for a while and we both have good ideas, but we never get around to it.

very cool - check out our friend (and previous FU of the week) Doug's site. he does some awesome web cartoons -- http://doogtoons.com. Inspiring stuff, and he would probably be glad to answer any questions you might have.

I don't have resolutions, I have stuff I'd like to do that I've been too lazy to do thus far:

1. Start exercising more.

2. Focus on several of my existing websites a little more, some could use a lot of updates.

3. Start the Cult of The FU.

4. Start playing around with sound recording to see if maybe my podcast idea could be possible.

5. Play with my camera(s) more often.

Thank you for the reply. Right now I am working on some clips for youtube and other online media. I am thinking about putting our prime minster (Meles Zenawi) who ordered the 194 students shot dead on May 15,2005 right alongside Sadam Husseine. Sa...

OneWingedFly, I'm deeply sorry to hear of your homeland's current situation. I had no idea about any of this. :( One thing that I would note is that you can't MAKE people care, necessarily. People have to make up their own opinions and beliefs in...

Inspiring speech is inspiring? Anyways, this question is much like the famous "If a tree falls in the middle of the forest and nobody's around to hear it, does it make a sound?" Just by the nature of the question, it's impossible to prove either w...

You shouldn't have to buy the full CS4 package ($1700US) just to get Premiere Pro, I hope. Not sure how it's packaged where you are, but over here we can buy just the individual application. http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/

Wow. Goes to show you how powerful the mind can be. I've nearly passed out on several occassions, but never gone completely out. But it was always related to low blood sugar or dehydration.
