Unless you're a hardcore athiest, I think most people would have an answer to most of these questions, I'm not out to find proof that God doesn't exist, i believe there is some type of higher power, but i'm mostly curious about how deeply people that believe in God truly think about their faith.

1. Do you remember your life before you were told about God? (if no, skip 2)

2. Looking back on that time, can you say you felt God before you knew about him?

3. Where do you feel gods presence?

4. Assuming we all know that everything we feel is created by our body(our 5 senses, and our brain are the only things we feel/create feeling with) Is it possible God is imaginary?

Unlike most of my posts, i'll make my point before people respond, I think nobody worships or thinks about, or knows, the same exact God. I think we create our own personal God based on what we are told God should be, he/she/it is imaginary. We feel God through our body, our body creates feeling, God is our own creation.

1. Yes.

2. No.

3. I believe the seed to believe in a God has been planted by society(within myself) and through my own life experience I've come to realize what I stated above, I believe within all of us, we own a higher power, an influence over our world that we don't always realize. Honestly, i'm starting to think this higher power is simply our ability to collectivly create and share knowledge, it's what seperates us from the rest of the creatures on earth.

1) No

2) Can't say that I did, but thankfully I never was a choirboy :P

3) whenever I watch the news with all the trouble with everything going on in the middle east.

4) I was made to believe in it (modern organised religion), inducted into it at a time & age when I could barely think for myself, that's Brainwashing pure and simple. If he existed I'm sure he wouldn't allow this.

For my at length thoughts and criticisms, read this..

So, when you choose a book, on a subject you enjoy, you read it, you gain knowledge. That's God teaching you? Or is it simply you reading a book and retaining it's contents.

Also, perception and the 5 senses do have a limit, but we make up for it with our imagination. Please don't take this personal but when talking to people that are very religious(i have no problem with these people) they go into this "mode" where they recite what they've read or heard from others, and it comes across like they aren't saying how THEY really feel..just telling me what the bible says, i'm not sure where i'm going with that... But i'm curious about what yo have to say without resorting to "because the bible said so".

Putting religious beliefs, aversions, etc. aside, here are my answers.
1. No. Was brought up a Hindu.
2. Skip!
3. Irony. Anything ironic in the world.
4. Irrelevant, because according to most religions, our feeble human minds can't comprehend the magnificence of God anyways.

9swords, it's no fun when you delete a response, it was a really good one though, I was at the inauguration, and the internet connection was too shitty to allow me to respond(at the place i was staying). I'd like to respond to what you said but if you don't want to talk about it, i understand.

It's just that i was reading it & i realized i don't like to use the word god, the ultra magnificent is my new word. When questioning the thin air about the name for god i got this answer,
his name is "Names without end from the beginning" so that didn't help me really.
Anyways i guess i could have left it there sorry about that V.

I'm assuming when you talk about god, you don't mean the einstein personal god, but the god that the christians pray to. if now, i'll change my answers.

1) no

2) I felt something, it wasn't god

3) In my no nos (if i believed in god, schlee couldn't stop me from saying that, sorry)

3 CORRECTED) I don't. if you're talking about a sense of immense satisfaction and all the happy bits, then in random spots, otherwise if there is a god, schlee is a dick and reminds me every fucking morning.

4) I'm a softcore atheist, and you can guess what my answer is there.

1. Yes

3. Around worship to him, which, in accordance to what I believe, is everything in existence "for even the rocks cry out".

4.No.

I guess this can be directed at anybody that feels they can answer question #(3. Where do you feel gods presence?).

Assuming nothing can be felt without something to feel it with, what do you feel this presence with?

1. No

2. I find it hard to believe anyone could be mature enough to reflect on what they were feeling before they were told about God. Christianity is kind of mainstream, no doubt you were told about god long before you started contemplating things.

3. I dont really. I just feel the presence of other good people (family/friends). I guess some people may chalk that up to God, but I dont.

4. Yes

I definetely do like your point "I think nobody worships or thinks about, or knows, the same exact God. I think we create our own personal God based on what we are told God should be". I agree with this point. Everything we know is based on our own perception, and people perceive things and interpret things differently so its very likely that they have different images of what God is and what he is like.

It's interesting that you say that, i think there is this huge division between the physical world and spirituality, i don't think anybody can say there is/isn't a god, it just comes down to whether or not you choose to believe in him. It all comes down to that simple choice, if a certain belief gets you through life safe and gratified, then go for it.

I just can't help thinking that, in the end, nobody feels the same god, we create our own, god is the personification of everything we aren't able to understand, just like what you said. "many things happened to me and I wanted to explain to myself".
