Just to reiterate:

1) Have something you find compelling to talk about/show people
2) Publish shows at regular, consistent intervals
3) Do all the grunt work!

I've seen so many interesting web shows fail at point #2....epic fu does not (usually), which is a huge part of why they are so awesome.

Thx guys!

While I agree with fu and JW that publishing in regular, consistant intervals is important, I've found its more important for purely entertainment-type shows and less important for educational-type shows. Educational/How-To shows have the advantage of "never getting old" and viewers come back for multiple views to learn technqiue (and refer others to your show!).

Thanks for all the tips!

Druu here with Bite Me TV. I've been a Fu fan for over a year, and I definitely paid close attention to how you were producing your show when my team and I started building Bite Me TV early in 2008. We currently have 3 shows in production, with one more on the way. 'BITE ME! the MAN cooking show' is the cooking show for single guys, 'Field Trippin' profiles events in and around Southern California that feature lots of guy-friendly eye candy and 'What the...' is my vlog that focuses on stupid and freaky stuff in the news.

Oh yeah, and we make good use of a pair of Johnny Chung Lee's $14 steady cams. Big ups to Mr. Lee!!!

I really loved this episode! As a budding videoblogger and teacher, this is something I can with others. Thanks Zadi and the EpicFu gang :)

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I saw this video the day it came out and have since launched my own webshow. Despite actually starting work on the webshow about a month prior to this specific episode you guys have been a huge inspiration for us and this show specifically helped us clear a few hurdles.

Thanks again.

Feel free to check out our show at www.banterbiscuit.com.

Thanks for all those good advices. The only thing I hoped to hear more about, was ideas how to promote your show after it's started. It's a bit more difficult to spread the word of your show if you're living outside of Anglo American culture. Only few knows about your show because links are basically spreading among your friends. How can I promote my show among americans for example, if I don't know any americans?

These questions are partly rhetorical, as this message is a one way I try out to solve the problem. Still, I think I'm not the only one who've been thinking about this. It's quite ironic actually, as Internet is often seen as easy way to spread information. But how to throw a snowball that keeps rolling on and gets bigger all the time?

The first episode of my show is here:
