Since my brother "celebrates" the Winter Solstice--he got a new phone on the 21st--and I celebrate (the very fictional holiday of) Startica, I decided not to overdo it with the whole Christmas thing. I kept it simple with my desktop. Just a screen grab from the cutest holiday video ever -- "Winter Song" by Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson (That's the animated version of them flying on the leaf.)
Major Lulz at the classic N64 Christmas Video, though.
PS: Startica is a celebration that takes place in Tenchi Muyo: Daughter of Darkness. It is the combination of the Japanese Star Festival and Western Christmas. I created my own customs because I just wanted to do something different from "commercial" Christmas (I know, I know. It's a cliche thought. Whatever)

Not really An app per se, but whenever it's the festive time of year I always can rely on photoshop to put a a santa hat on certain MSN or Forum avatars I like to use

The Skull is cropped from a picture of me wearing punisher Tshirt, the blue face is yours truly staring in the direct line of fire from a blue spotlamp, and the stencilled face with the guns is Iron Maiden's Eddie from the "a matter of life and death" album. :)

Some of the music are indeed chiptunes made by my friend. If I remember correctly, all of them are .IT files. I´ve been thinking about possibility put some of them at the website of Discasting, but at first I have to talk about it with the compose...

Heard a bit of chiptune-age in there... did you get the audio from .XM files by any chance?
What I was referring to, was that the way that this "could" move forward, was that people might be able to search for info about any random person through taking a photograph in the street, they don't even have to be famous.

actually, zadi is the main act. and nothing against zadi- because she's the greatest video host that ever was, in my opinion.
i mean she's better for tech and politics... she may still have a way to go to rank with johnny carson or even conan o'b...
