Abortion.
Just curious about if/why some people here might be pro-choice or anti-abortion.
I'm pro-choice, it's a horrible choice to make, but still, i think it's a choice we don't have the right to take from women. The value of a fetus' life is minimal, sure, we can say "what if it became the man/woman that cured cancer?" But like i said in my 2012 post, the future hasn't happened yet, right now, it's a fetus, right now, it's done nothing of any value with the time life has given it. Cold, but true. I believe the value of a human life(this might look familiar to some of you) is based on how long the individual has lived, and what they have done with their lives. For example, ignoring baseless assumptions about the future, if we had to choose between killing a 2 week old fetus, and a healthy productive member of society...you get the idea.

Without conception, no life is created, and it takes a man and a woman to create a child, but women do get extra points for giving birth. Also the man is equally responsible for preventing an unwanted pregnancy as the woman.

In the end, there would be no life without men, i think that gives our opinion more than a little weight...I say this being fully aware that a womans opinion is worth a hell of a lot more though =P

yeah cause parthenogenesis will never be possible with our genetic technology.
although personally i think even if we clone male sperm, there is too large a danger that evolution will be stunted and that without evolving male genes, the human race will be doomed in the long run. the really good thing about male-female reproduction is the genetic diversity (and thus increased resistance to disasters like plague, climate change, and scarcity for a species) it creates.
