this week we review cloverfield and highlight the alternate reality game around it, we have a crazy photoshop mashup from freaking news, how to find out about rotten neighbors, a service that anonymously sends poop in the mail, and an awesome french band that's playing at cochella. the fu of the week is served by people making a 1 second movie, and we have a new campfire discussion around barack obama and "tolerance fatigue."

That mouth in eye sockets thing was really haunting. Geez!
I want to see cloverfield because Drew Goddard wrote it and it seemed interesting ... but I hate when sci fi/ monster movies aren't explained in excruciating detail. You know those bits at the end of sci fi shows when the mystery of the week are solved and one character is talking to another with blocks and blocks of clunky expository dialog about what went down just in case we all missed it or didn't understand how it unfolded? Yah those scenes are made for folks like me. I want to know it ALL. Having said that, I'm pretty sure I'll get it via DVD when it comes out. Excellent idea though. Seeing the monster movie from the common man being squished on the street as opposed to the crack research/ shady governmental unit that unwittingly unleashed the monster to begin with.

Hey guys!
This is my first post here at mix. I just want to say that I love the show and think that you guys are doing a great job!
I have one question though. It has to do with this weeks show.
I realized that there was a bleeped out explative during the show. This is something that I've never heard before. Was this done on purpose for humor? Or is epicfu cleaning up their act...?
Personally i prefer the truthful and raw usage of language, which is what orginally attracted me to the show.

So I just stumbled across this... which is odd because I'm an internet geek and thought I would have found something as interesting as this place. I have to add that I commend you on your show, you guys do great editing work and I find myself engrossed and interested which is odd for things that come off the internet these days.
One suggestion, you should check out "Muscles-Ice Cream" for your next episodes 'stuff we like'

Cloverfield? Yeah. Well. I didn't walk out (dude, I paid $10.25! Can't walk out!), but I wasn't wowed, either. Irritating unanswered questions aside, they get bonus points for a fun giant people-munching monster that spews fun teeny people-munching monsters.
And if i never see any more mouth-eye photos again, that'd be great.
