i recomend you dont allow them to use your picture unless they promise they will do everything they can to upload it to Mix!!

I'll talk to them about it. I'm dying for input since I'm only starting out with photoshop. I'm so used to Photoshop elements that it seems so strange and takes me alot longer. I'll see if I can print it out and scan it at home, we have a top notch scanner so it should come out very well.

like I said, I'm only starting out so I'm not that good, hoping to get better. I'm using online tutorials and learning alot.

I really like it. I'm kinda proud of it since its all from scratch (exept the feather, I found that image online and pasted and blurred it). If anyone knows of any good tutorials, post em' please.

you should definitely post the pic afterwards when you are done, I used to have some bookmark tutorials, if I find any useful I'll send them over, you can also get some neat magazines for Photoshop that include tutorials, some come with free fonts and even plugins, but they can run up to 15 bucks per magazine, though most are totally worth it.

i would recomend joining photoshop groups, i used to make alot of banners and in those groups they knew all the best pages to get resources like alot of vector pictures, cut-outs, and crazy new ways to make new effects.

i just remembered a photoshop project i havent finished, i used hugin to connect a big background picture of my school and im supposed to insert myself like 15 times all over, but havent had time to do it.

I used to be part of a role playing group (damn ag2 and ag1 are down) and I made horsey pictures for other people quite often. I have a whole photobucket thingy just for them:

Wow. This is the first time I have seen someone ASK for permission to use a photo and I am deeply impressed with you, Maiflowers because so many pictures are being used without permission and lawsuits are going on everywhere because of this. However I'm not sure what the link has to do with anything.
unless you were trying to pose the legal vs right?

because it is legal, and props for asking.
but because the license that mix rather epic-fu has, allows you to use any images sounds ect in nearly any way that you want.

The article essentially is dealing with ethics in dealing with copyrights. I appreciate you sharing the Creative Commons Attribution because this entire field in copyrights is literally being re-written b4 our eyes! Different from when I took copyright law class back in 2000. Creative Commons Attributions did not exist back then. Thanks for sharing!
