I'm curious to know who uses RSS feeds regularly, and if lots of people you know use them. Seems like RSS has been slow to catch on for people outside of the tech world. Do you use it? If so, what kind of stuff do you subscribe to (blogs, podcasts, etc.)? And what reader do you use?
through my iGoogle page.. . mainly blogs .. . anything from political news to video game and tech news to news dealing with the latest info on multiple sclerosis .. .
it's the best thing ever i feel . .. i don't know what i'd do without it .. .

I use RSS feeds on my social networking sites (MySpace, etc...) with Springwidgets. I have subscriptions with Current.tv, Wired.com and, ofcourse, EPIC-FU. I also subscribe to quite a few podcasts on iTunes. Not many of my friends use RSS.
Well, I when I settle on a MP3 player (creative zen), I will get back on itunes as my podcast downloader. So, currently, I use the Live Bookmarks in Firefox to "see" if there is anything new, then click the link if I find it interesting.
Depending on what you "saved" as a Live bookmark, it would either start playing in a helper app (like quicktime or realplayer), or take you to the page where you can find a download link.
I started out with a 3rd party joint called NetNewsWire, but, after awhile wasn't digging the fact that it was an application and I couldn't access my feeds online. Moved into Bloglines, but, the designer in me found the interface and UI just "ugly". Touched down on Google Reader a while ago and haven't looked back since it started working well in Safari's browser (used to only be snappy in Firefox). Anything better out there?
I use google reader. I haven't used an RSS feed reader outside of it and I'm thinking that maybe I should check out a few others just to see if there are any features that I'm missing, but Google Reader does such a good job of putting it together that I haven't considered that I might be missing more. I used to use iGoogle as well until I realized that I just don't use my google home page enough to justify using it.
For the most part it's blog feeds and information about the NFL/sports (most of which are blogs as well lol). The ones that I check that get the most love are epic fu's (of course!), seth godin's, major nelson and post secrets (all blogs of course). I'm pretty addicted to my RSS feeder lol.
ive had mine a while and i treat em like hell, they sound as good the day i got them, but are not as kinesteticly pleasing, ive scratched them pretty well
LOL @ earwax. I have never been a big fan of Pioneer headphones. The last Pioneer headphones i purchased were the SE-NC70S and in about three months the right side died out and the battery life was crap. What I do like about pioneer is the sound q...
Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
