I love The Onion News Network because they know how to keep things light hearted, but I really found this episode to be offensive, mainly because I have family in the armed forces and do not believe that making fun of those in uniform is a laughing matter. Does anyone else find this offensive?
It's kinda funny, it rises real issues (homophoby, mutilations, the fact that killing people seems to be accepted as a normal job, etc.) and you found this offensive ?
World n°1 provider of war criminals, a.k.a. the U.S.A., is protecting the said criminals behind the numerous soldiers that "just did their job". Because some did their job, critics are not allowed, at all. The same for corruption. THAT'S what I find offensive. But I guess it's just a question of personal values.
I didn't find it offencive at all. I didn't think they were making fun of the people in the armed force but rather what the they do and the fact that (as Sylvain said) they accept and treat this as a normal job.
Rises many issues and massages here! but I'll stand on the point that we as civilians we can be more aware of why a war is going on. Is it just? Does it worth our loses? There would have been no point for this clip if that was not in a question. Not offensive for me. As a clip It is purely focused on raising awareness.
I think that absolutely everything is fair game for parody. Making something "not suitable" for ridicule is generally a pretty fascist idea. Sometimes it's important to be offended. It helps us break out of our safe little bubbles away from everything violent that's going on, if only for a few minutes.
good going with the build man, I dunno if you carved the stuff out beforehand, but this kinda reminds me of when Queen's Brian May built his "red Special"

Heard a bit of chiptune-age in there... did you get the audio from .XM files by any chance?
What I was referring to, was that the way that this "could" move forward, was that people might be able to search for info about any random person through taking a photograph in the street, they don't even have to be famous.
