What are your favorite open source software programs.

I just downloaded songbird (this really great music player) and was wondering what other great open source programs were out there.

Obvious answer would be Firefox and Thunderbird. Both do exactly what they are supposed to do without adding useless extras, yet provide the ability to add extensions to do everything else. It's the way all software should be IMO.
