The price dropped 200 dollars recently. And yes it is wayy worth it. I would recommend you wait till next gen comes out even though thats in a year. Really big and new advancements are comming. From what I have heard

If you want this kind of juicy goodness on your phone, go for it. Even though waiting for the next gen would be a good idea. However, it won't take a year or so. The production cycles at Apple have shrunken insanely quickly

....to add to that. It's only a matter of time till the next one comes out. I found my house on an iPhone at the Apple store in NYC. I moved, so it's all safe anyways. :) If you hate your current phone, the iPhone will make you love calling people again. I'm living in Europe right now, so I know how damn expensive calling can be on the continent. So enjoy cheap cell-phone deals while you and they last.
