I haven't had a nightmare in years. I'm rarely scared when I'm awake either.
I wonder whether your nightmare stems from somewhere, but I imagine you know where if you think about it.

Lack of fear is usually a lack of wisdom. I'm guessing the Dodo bird also never got scared.

Lmao thats a funny nightmare.. i had a nightmare where i woke up one dark morning and i was the last person on earth , every one else was like a vampire thingy lol and all my family was trying to kill me i had no were 2 go so i woke up lol . SCARRY!

or what about the nightmare you "wake up" from but really its just another part of the nightmare. thats frustrating cause then you really do wake up and your all paranoid haha

Scariest nightmare:
Being completely paralyzed and unable to breathe. I remember struggling to get up knowing I was still dreaming, but couldn't get my body to move. I could hear and see (which is up for speculation) what was going on around me but couldn't move my mouth. It felt like it went on forever. Finally woke up after much mental struggling. It's like a complete sleep paralysis attack.

Not exactly a typical nightmare -- but it's pretty damn scary. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Other nightmares: running and not being able to move. drowning. trapped in darkness. going up and down stairs and not finding the exit door. -- all can be pretty easily psychologically explained. I usually have them when I'm really stressed. ;)

When I read 1984, I was in my bed and got so scared that I was being watched that I froze in bed for 5 or 10 minutes staying completely still... It was fucking scary.

I encounter the same kind of sleep paralysis but no longer triggered by bad dreams but just sometimes out of the blue I seem to stop breathing in my sleep and I can't move or wake up.

I had that nightmare ALOT over a period of time. Scariest nightmare ever. It was made scarier by the fact I was paralysed in bed with no sight, but all my other senses were working and I could hear an eery voice of a lady and feel cold sweaping over my body and behind my ear where the voice would get up close.

And to make this dream even worse I had the thinking you've woken from the nightmare but still in it thing.

A couple of times it got really abd and I would try to stay awake the entire night and not sleep because it was almost as soon as I would drift into semi consciousness this dream would begin.

Not a nice experience and I considered seeking help, but thank god it hasn't happened in around a year.

But bringing up the memories this late at night in my darkened room with just my laptop for light moments before I try go to sleep was probably not a good idea... lol

Damn I just googled this and it's got scarier. It turns out that it's your mind waking up while your body is still sleeping and it's all real. But it says you often hear voices that are evil sounding and this is illusory.

But then they also say it could be deemed an outter body experiece. Which if you believe in that stuff could mean the voices are actually real and you are hearing things from the spirit realm as you are temporarily there. Scary fucking thought. I wish I had clap on lights right now because I'm too scared to get out of bed and turn them on! lol
