Help!!! MAC or PC?

if u want simplicity with no troubles, buy a MAC, if u want a very good PC with a very good preformance (usually at the same price than mac's) buy a PC (with its respective problems like: virus, drivers compatibility, system crashes etc)

one thing that i hate of Mac's is prices, because they are very expensive compared with PC's

I prefer PC ;-)

just get them a PC, if they are just using it for the internet and simple stuff like that, then there is no need to shell out the money for a MAC. (or you can buy a mac mini)

Mac Mini would be perfect for them. iPhoto will be great for pictures, Safari is a very easy browser. All Apple apps have automated software updates.

PCs are always more complicated. I'd say get a Intel Core Solo Mac Mini and a basic flat panel monitor (from Best Buy, Circuit City, Newegg) to keep cost down.

agreed, if there just using it for simple stuff, internet browsing and looking at picture of the grandkids, no reason to get a mac, just go with a simple PC.. . a mac would be overkill .. .

Couldn't Agree more brother Lucas. And hellz yeah I've run my Mac for at least two weeks straight at times without restarting while working on a project. No probs.... You get what you pay for with MAC.... Return of the mac nanan anaa nnaan annaaaa

ok, so that means a mac might be easier to use but i have to warn them about the price ... i will check out the mac mini...500 euro sound like a very fair deal to me ... and lucas: thx 4 da link ... wow, these responses really helped...thanx guys

WEll here be a couple tangs to consider... Having ZERO computer experience both mac and windows are going to require a major learning curve. I say it all depends on who is gonna be holding their hand through the learning process. If its you then maybe a pc. Of course we just converted to all MACs and boy is they NICE. Aside from there aesthetics, Macs don't require the constant windows updates, error messages, and viral protections that one can certainly live with if they haven't had better but the grandparents will call you and be like, was da mattta wit my computer! come over and help. Also visually, macs would seem easier to navigate for your grandparents. Will lovely vectored icons and fonts the quality doesn't change. you can add really nice icons to there main folders for easier access. Honestly things just work from wireless to printer. Gambatee
