EPIC FU once a week or twice a week? looking for your feedback!
The MIX community is always the first and best place Zadi and I can go to get feedback about the show.
Recently we've been talking about ways we can make Tuesday and Thursday shows different enough from each other that it's easy to recognize what will be on each day. For example, right now we do the Artist of the Week on Tuesday and the FU of the Week on Thursday.
But in discussing more ways to differentiate the days, we were looking at some of the viewership numbers around the two shows. Tuesday shows get as many views as Thursday shows, even though Thursday shows are actually up for twice as long (4 days versus 2 days for Tuesday).
This got us thinking -- would it be better to create one show per week and just pack it full of all the stuff we do on both days?
It wouldn't look that different from what we do now, but it would be longer. We'd be able to do more news, spend a little more time with our interviews, and have both an Artist of the Week and a FU of the Week, play flash games, do Campfires, the works.
What do you guys think? Is a once-a-week 9-10 minute show better than twice a week for 5-6 minutes each? Which would you prefer and why?

yep, we're gonna try the once a week thing for a while and see how it works out! but i think next tuesday's show is going to be so jammed pack full of stuff no one will miss the second show! (fingers crossed)

It will be good.......Epic Fu always rocks so we just have to wait 7 days instead of 2 or 4 to get a new dose of zadi snaps!

Why only ten minutes? If you have the extra time, couldn't you easily do 15, adding more footage of interviews and coverage? I can only imagine how hard it is to edit video in such a short amount of time. Is that the hold back?

I think you guys should take it as a compliment that both episodes get the same number of hits despite the Thursday show being up longer. I'm no viewer trend-watching specialist, but this says to me that even when people miss the Tuesday show they're going back to watch it, meaning that you have a very loyal fanbase that watches all your shows.
I think definitely you should experiment with the format, as that can only create a better show. But I need my Fu, and the current format works fine for me, as I don't normally watch the Thursday episode until Friday, which further spreads my Fu.

I'm into the twice a week shows. If you could make both days 10mins that would be great. Lol but if its too much stick with what works. I started watching yall right b4 the break through youtube. Once I found out I could get it better through apple's podcasts its been bliss ever since. Yall make my Tuesdays and Thursday complete :-)

I can't really decide.... I do like two episodes each week because, the things you talk about are perhaps more up to date. Instead of packing it all in one for the whole week. You have a chance to let things develop during the week or cover changes that may happen.
Don't get me wrong, I'll take my epic fu no matter the form..

Something about the short and sweet shows keep me coming back for more. I think the current setup is a better idea, and I caught on to the Tuesday/Thursday differential a long time ago. Since I know how good the show is, I'd stay to watch the 10 minutes episodes, but I doubt that it would attract me if I didn't know what it was already. Plus, the shorter the episodes, the easier it is to keep track of all the stuff on the show.

Heard a bit of chiptune-age in there... did you get the audio from .XM files by any chance?
What I was referring to, was that the way that this "could" move forward, was that people might be able to search for info about any random person through taking a photograph in the street, they don't even have to be famous.

actually, zadi is the main act. and nothing against zadi- because she's the greatest video host that ever was, in my opinion.
i mean she's better for tech and politics... she may still have a way to go to rank with johnny carson or even conan o'b...
