I was playing around, testing out a project at work today and I had the opportunity to listen to XM's comedy channel for a few hours. It got me thinking, who would I pick as my favorite comedians?
I like this english comedian Peter Kays myself and a few others including Russell Peters, Reggie Reg and Monty Python. Thats about all i can think of right now!
For me humor is always about the Content. Someone could stutter their way through a poorly Executed joke and I'd still find it funny providing it's got good content. and for me that content is Filth, sex(ism) related material, and material related to the bodily functions of humans and animals. if someone delivers something like a poor pun in a well executed style, I still wouldn't laugh.
Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate things like satire as well.
the following tickles my funny bone just now,
(warning, I'll link to some very unPC vids and sites in the upcoming spiel, so don't say I didn't warn you)
My all time fave has always been Billy Connoly, he's gone through enough content based humor to last me a lifetime.
Next in line is The Aussie, Kevin Bloody Wilson. again for reasons stated. He's made lots of songs that along the above lines, and a lot of his humor, moreso than Billy Connolly is Very UNPC. Like when he went touring in Canada
Also another Scottish comic doing the rounds, is Frankie Boyle . He's doing a lot of Panel quiz shows and guest appearances on chat shows on UK TV just now,. and He's got the Kind of "I'll make the jokes i want to make and I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks or says" attitude that has not been seen in ages. I'm often surprised how a lot of the things he comes up with makes it to air. he's always on a satirical comedy show called "Mock the week"
Here are a few examples.
on the war on terror
a spoof letter to points of view (UK viewer feedback program)
And one with other participants, unlikely lines from a superhero movie...
It may not be classed as proper comedy. But there used to be a radio duo in the UK consisting of 2 northern english blokes Called Mark & Lard. And they could make any kind of conversation and news story. seem funny . Their radio shows also had good "quality items" (innuendo heavy Fat harry white, being a particular fave ) and fronted a UK spoof band called "The Shirehorses" . My own personal Comedy Gold, came from this Lewd news story
Lastly there's an Essex based Comedy act that i saw recently called "K*nt and the gang" I can only describe it as if the lewdest comic in the world wrote for Depeche mode in their early years :P
I have been watching Mock The Week for the past few days at work (headphones on). That show is my new favorite comedy show that doesn't air in the US. And yeah, Frankie Boyle is freaking great.
I Very recently bought the "too hot for TV" DVD. and if you thought some of the stuff that gets to air was bad (especially frankie's stuff) wait till you see what's on there!! :P
As of right now I'm uncertain. I'm watching it as per the DVD sequence. So Far I've made it through about an hour's worth of stuff that never made it to air and I'm unsure how much footage there is left. I also Think that there are 3 uncut episodes too.
Ryan Stiles, one of the most underutilized comedians of our era. He was a mainstay on the Drew Carey show and Whose Line Is It Anyway, and was consistently the funniest guy on both shows.
Great vid there, a perfect example of a "car crash" movie :P
Heard a bit of chiptune-age in there... did you get the audio from .XM files by any chance?
What I was referring to, was that the way that this "could" move forward, was that people might be able to search for info about any random person through taking a photograph in the street, they don't even have to be famous.
Fair enough at this p...
actually, zadi is the main act. and nothing against zadi- because she's the greatest video host that ever was, in my opinion.
i mean she's better for tech and politics... she may still have a way to go to rank with johnny carson or even conan o'b...

No, I didn't until you showed me! I've used it - it looks VERY cool! Thanks to whoever wrote it!
This is Zadi and Steve place. When they are here, people come to visit. When they are not here, I don't believe all the devoted fans in the world (they are worldwide) can keep this place running. All the comments, photos, blogs, etc, are very nice...
I never really doubted you guys because it ALWAYS looked like you did the show for fun, not for profit. With all the profit making potential angles being flaunted in your face, I can see how you might want to keep things hush hush.
That's what is...
Jessica get my vote! (Where did you get that B&W?!)
But, I take you guys a little older. Becky Worley (www.beckyworley.com), Sumi Daas, Michaela Pereira (KTLA5-TV)
And back to young - Natali DelConti, Amber MacArthur, Neha Tewari. Not to mention...
