MIX - how should we design it?
Okay guys!
We're giving some thought as to how to re-skin MIX, and since this is your home too, we think it's important that you have a say. How should we re-skin this place? What would make it interesting, fun, different??

A cool white to royal blue gradient would be nice. Also, make it MAC'ish!

I think it's nice, the way it is :)
But if, you want to re-skin this place, then put a lot of themes (cars, movie heroes) more epic - fu logo's to choos from :)

One more vote for less black, more like the main site. Less gradients on black (than the main site). No gradients would be perfect, actually.
But: given we can customize our L&F on Ning, how important is this discussion?

Holy gradients Batman!
Sorry, just wanted to say that. It fits with the color scheme of the main site, but there are parts that bug me. I think it would be better if the top sat more flush with the header of the site as well as having a bar extend the width of the box.
I wonder if you could use a slightly darker backround to help bring out the sections a bit more. That's an element of the current layout that I love, the ability to see the sections without needing to compare the header bars. I know this sounds like me rambling, but the design is pretty close to the design of the main site, which is great, but certain elements in the community will need to treated slightly different, and that might mess with the style just enough to be annoying.
How would this look if the layout were the same as the current Mix site with the lighter styles applied and say something to help differentiate the section boxes beyond using just the headers?

That's so cool. A dark and light theme to it. Maybe you should go with that? Try something new? =P

Heard a bit of chiptune-age in there... did you get the audio from .XM files by any chance?
What I was referring to, was that the way that this "could" move forward, was that people might be able to search for info about any random person through taking a photograph in the street, they don't even have to be famous.

actually, zadi is the main act. and nothing against zadi- because she's the greatest video host that ever was, in my opinion.
i mean she's better for tech and politics... she may still have a way to go to rank with johnny carson or even conan o'b...
