Well boys and girls around the world.
They are saying it might hit 200 bucks a barrel.
What’s that mean?
USA 6 bucks a gallon, and in other countries I would think if you are paying 6 bucks now, it would be close to 11 bucks a gallon. This gas prices, something got to give.
OPEG better start thinking we may have pushed it to far.
The oil price will hit $200/barrel and more, and I personally fear it will happen sooner than we might expect. Oil is not an infinite resource, and in the long run as it runs out the price can only go up. And watch out then. The price of nearly everything depends on the price of oil. And by far the most important is food. The world is now facing a food crisis at $120/barrel. I can't imagine what would happen at $200 or $250, and I can only hope that we can find the resources to overcome what might be coming.
One positive aspect however is that other technologies that now may not be practical because of their cost will become profitable and more widespread. And as they are used more and more, their price should gradually go down as they are developed and improved.
I am in upstate NY for the month and I am currently paying $3.75
I think a short term plan all of us should have is getting a hybrid or at least down grade what you have to a 4 cylinder (that would help me).
I get 20 miles to the gallon so I installed an air intake, leather bed cover, and reduced some weight all to get a little more out of my $60 tank fill up. Besides that I am really not trying to drive anywhere or if I do I take care of everything that I would have done in a week in one trip. There goes my vacation...
well i just filled up my tank this morning in NJ in Ft. Lee where i find is the cheapest spot for gas in NJ, and based on what my car uses (requires 92 octane and up, closest is super which is 93 octane) i paid 3.99 a gallon for super, and in new york its close to 5 bux a gallon for super, yet i still thank god that my car at least gets around 34mpg out of that.... so its not outrageous... and still have plenty of money left over to go out to the Hamptons this coming weekend for memorial day.... YAY!!!! sun beach and a perfect 80 degrees for monday out there at the beach.... finally!!!!
ive had mine a while and i treat em like hell, they sound as good the day i got them, but are not as kinesteticly pleasing, ive scratched them pretty well
LOL @ earwax. I have never been a big fan of Pioneer headphones. The last Pioneer headphones i purchased were the SE-NC70S and in about three months the right side died out and the battery life was crap. What I do like about pioneer is the sound q...
Well I have the 2006 80 GB classic & the 32GB iPod touch both sound qualities are great but I must agree about the classic being better. I've been getting alot positive feedback about Sennheiser so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
lol dear Mr. Wolf, I've gone down this road before. I can't handle the uncertainty and mind boggle. Have you seen the movie "The Believer"? If so, remember the end? The dude keeps climbing the stairs, again and again, each time facing the same man...
