Yep, we Americans are very fickle. Something a big deal at one time, and not at another time.
Even if it dropped down to 50 cent a gallon, it is STILL a non-renewal resource, and WILL dry up at some point in the future. It is STILL polluting our earth and is STILL hazardous.
I agree and that is why it is silly to probably be going on the fourth time that i can remember when gas prices spiked. I can still remember 5 gallon limits and having one's license plate determining by whether it was odd or even if you could even buy gas. Having to cue up at specific hours to purchase
But do remember that there was a time long gone now that if you tried to put $10 in a car,you would have gas over the concrete. Actually it might have problems getting all the gas in the fuel tank at only $5 back then.
We import 70% of our fuel and is one of the real security problems facing the Us
Currently In the Boston area gas prices are 2.51 which is really decent and I'm gonna go fill a garbage can full of it so I can resell it(It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia reference). Oil prices for heating homes are almost at 3.39 per gallon but thankfully residents in the Boston area are able to apply for LiHeap/Fuel assistance and at least get one fill up for free. The state is working on getting more funds for low income families (generally we follow 200% or below of federal poverty guidelines for determination) and even extending it to people in the lower end of the middle class. Check with your state to see if you qualify because the guidelines are changing rapidly. I know all this because I work as a social worker for the main provider for the City of Bostons home heating assistance.
[AP] - Return to $1 gas? Energy prices evaporate
Friday December 5, 8:25 pm ET
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Oil prices hit four-year lows Friday as employers cut the highest number of jobs in 34 years. The continuing decline in prices is so dramatic and so sudden that it is raising the prospect that gas prices could soon fall below $1 a gallon.
A gallon of gasoline can be had for 50 cents less than it cost just last month, and people are starting to talk about $1 gas.
good going with the build man, I dunno if you carved the stuff out beforehand, but this kinda reminds me of when Queen's Brian May built his "red Special"

Heard a bit of chiptune-age in there... did you get the audio from .XM files by any chance?
What I was referring to, was that the way that this "could" move forward, was that people might be able to search for info about any random person through taking a photograph in the street, they don't even have to be famous.
