On this week's JETSET Zadi talked about how she can't figure out what kind of costume she wants to make this Halloween (seriously, she's being a total pain about it! - ha!).
What are you guys doing for costumes? Are you going to do it DIY or buy them? We want to see pics and videos of the DIY costumes and we'll put them on the show!
Hmm, not sure if I'll fab' one this year, but last year I built a HEV suit (as in Half-life). My girlfriend at the time was a massive HL2 fan, so she went as Alyx. I fired up my cardboard-mason skills and scratch-built a HEV suit:
Nerdy?
You betcha!
You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find glasses with those frames! (there's no glass in 'em)
My external hard drive recently kicked the bucket, so I have no photos of her costume, but whatever. Hers was damn good too though. Tragically, the party we were at had several geeks and still virtually no-one knew who the hell we were! PWNED!
I think this year I'll just say "fuck it" and throw on my 40s-style bomber jacket, a white tshirt and some aviators.
That and I'm not lugging a whole HEV suit on the train!
wow that's super creative, it looks very intricate
I'm thinking of skipping the costume thing this year it's too late for me to make something, and I don't like half-assing stuff
Well, I don't usually dress up. Since I have kids, I usually get them into costumes and then throw on my black karate gi (real gi) and go out with them.
Last year, it was SOO fricken hot in the gi that this year I wanted something else. I went to party city and got a sheik outfit - head-piece, gown with vest, and waist rap. Not "DIY" - but sharing never-the-less.
It's made of very thin material, so I should be cooler this time.
actually since this halloween im taking all my cousins trick or treating (all 16 of them) im gonna dress up as well but havent ever done it before....im in a conundrum of sorts actually stuck between two choices.....gandhi with boxing gloves and a mouthguard or as freddie.....i know i know im not the most imaginative person...sniff :(
I don't know if I'll dress up this Halloween. I am always out of ideas. Two years ago, it consisted of a blonde wig (I guess I was trying for some kind of hippie thing). Later in the evening, some of girls wanted to put some makeup on me with some interesting results.
In the beginning of this month, we have a large party at our student residence (or whatever it is called). There are four blocks (each with 6 hallways), which take turn organizing it each year. This year it was our block organizing it. Each hallway and their kitchen have a bar theme. We have a Prison Bar, so most of us were dressed as prison inmates. There were a range of different prisoner outfits. Some had orange boilersuits. Other were in black and white stripes (me among others, courtesy of a can of black spray paint). And the others were dressed as The Beagle Boys (blue cap, black mask and a red shirt with the white number tag on it).
I'm being a pash vampire. I went to value village (my local thrift shop) and got a red dress that is really poffy on the bottom and over top I found a nice top and I went to good will and found a wide brim hat. I ordered a long red ciggarette holder and fangs. I'm making my make up really elegent and cat like, and I bought fake (pre painted black) nails to finish it off... and vola my original costume for under 20 bucks.
Allot of people that are surrounded by this show have said that it should be more than a web show (aka go onto TV). However great this concept may be (no more downloading, more connection to the people), the price that we would all have to pay for...
Spinning off other mini-shows is a great idea. Kinda like what TWIT (Leo LaPorte) is doing. EpicFu doesn't have the resources of a TWIT, but they definitely have the talent in the audience.
With EpicFU show being short (< 5 minutes), maybe the mi...
"Nurses aren't supposed to laugh." Fred declared.
"Of course I won't laugh, I'm a professional nurse. For over twenty years I've never laughed at a patient."
"Okay then," Fred said, and proceeded to drop his trousers, revealing the tiniest man t...
